The Darkside has been moved to a new server to try and help alleviate some of the issues we were having with the database on the old server.

| News: Music Theory course at Access To Music |
From January there will be a new course running at Access To Music Norwich in King Street for people who want to improve their Music Theory knowledge. This course is open to the general public as well as current students.
The sort of things we will be looking at are:
Reading stave music
Developing listening skills including intervals, notes, chords, rhythm
Developing knowledge of harmony, chord progressions and rhythm
Understanding how to relate what you hear to what you write
Using Notation Software
Everybody is welcome, and you don't necessarily have to have any previous knowledge of music theory.

Anonymous writes "City College is taking part in The Forum's 'Lunchboxes', a series of creative performances taking place in the space outside The Forum. There are slots available between 12.30 - 2pm on Monday 30 July, Monday 6 August, Monday 13 August and Monday 20 August. This is a really good opportunity to perform in a great location in Norwich. Ideally you will be a past or present CCN student, but this opportunity is open to others if there is space. (only one condition - no offensive lyrics please!)

plugstudios writes "Play the Playhouse 2 is to happen later this year. Sign up as a friend today on their myspace to make sure you get details as and when they come available.
The 2 March gig was a great success - a selection of photos from the gig are online now at http://www.myspace.com/playtheplayhouse.
The Bands that played were: Wired, The Kabeedies, Circus, The Interpreters, The Sharps, Blitz Screen, Indigo Jam and The Triggers.
