went in there for the first since it was finished last night and i must say that i am very impressed, the place is a great size and has a really good sound, it looks great and is nice and cool with the air conditioning, the only improvement i can see is getting a mirror in the toilets but that is just me being vein.

great venue .....somwhere to sit would be good .and it was bloody cold in there by the bar .but other than that the place rocks ! from a bands point of wiew it was awesome .need to get that fold back fixed though !!!
I'm a person with alot of ideas, many have failed, but I thought i'd let you know what works or has worked very well for me!
1. Themed Nights i.e. Monday Metal, Tues Band Comp night Tue Punk Wed Indie, Thurs 'Free for all (not entry), Friday Super Talented & signed, Saturday 'Out of Town & Serious'.. .you get the gist or soemthing similar if you don't wanna select typical genre!
2. Extensive Advertising, I mean Flyers for people leaving the venue, not too dissimilar to what the Waterfront hand out!, and also advertising in the Local Press, and handing them out in the street
3. Regular updates on the Website with Good Descriptions of the Bands that are playing
4. Promotional Nights for the 'Super Talented' night for example, there are plenty of labels that would offer to give you swag for some airplay between bands... people love free shit even if it's a bowl of punch on the door!
5. It's worth getting to know the bands that play locally, if you keep putting any crap band on people get wise to it, look what happened to the Ferryboat, people got wise to it, felt ripped of & dismantled the Toilets as reconciliation!
6. A smoking Shelter!
7. Always Always Dim the Audience lights to barely visable when the bands are playing, otherwise people feel too self concious to step forward & have a good time
8. Promoters should always greet the bands with a smile & introduction, (you do a good job at that), it doesn make it less nerve racking for the bands, they are important aswell y'know :0)
Anyway hope you take some of this in, your Venue is Ace & you will make it a full house every week I know!

Just wanted to say a quick thanx for everyones comments. We've tried to act on as many as possible and obviously more will come in time but hopefully were getting there!!!!
