nice one timmy. those knobs are a bit strange lookin
Yeah all the electrics are front mounted to maximise the amount of mahogany, people always go on about ibanez guitars lacking low end, this thing has too much!!
Not too sure on the seymour SH6 in the bridge yet, might change it out to a '59 or Pearly Gates. I'm going to re-wire the whole thing though, its got a 5 way switch at the moment, with taps in 2,3,4 positions, fuck that i'm gonna make it a 3 way because coil taps are gay!
I rate these as one of the best bolt-on designs, its certainly up there with Andersons, Suhrs and early PRS CE's.
the inclusion of coil taps in guitars went a little something like this:
Inventor of coil tap idea: "HANG ON! i can make a schecter c1 sound like a strat!...even though a schecter with singles will sound NOTHING like a strat...aaaand because all i am doing is effectively halving the output to one side of the bucker...it will sound nothing like a singlecoil because the response from its housing will be different....soooo i will end up with a weak, shitty tone which nobody will ever use...."
Guitar company: "WHAT A GREAT IDEA! PUT THEM IN EVERYTHING."
