To be honest you are much better off going to Earth or Plug - I found them both to be much better studios.

It's a shame.

Livewire rooms were pretty small, but they were just down the road from me. The (included) CD was very useful and they were competitively priced.

Unlike Earth and Plug, if we wanted a room that didn't fit in with their published times, it was no problem. In hindsight, it was because the place was usually empty.

To pick up on another thread on here, perhaps it was because Livewire was located in the badlands outside the ring road.

It's probably a good thing as the practice spaces and recordings of practices seemed like a good idea, but for their full recording they ripped a few bands off.

2 bands that I know of paid up front for recording (which is a stupid thing to do anyway) and subsequently the place closed. None of what they had recorded was passed on, none of their money was refunded.

Having promised to at least return the drum and bass tracks none of these had turned up so the singer went round to the chaps house. His wife/girlfriend answered the door and said they were planning on mailing these out shortly. Funny that, considering it turns out they'd never asked for or taken any of their addresses. This has been going on since they closed.

Just wanted to set the record straight . I know this post is old .

I didn't deliberately rip any body off . Anyone who knows me knows I wouldn't do that . To say I ripped someone off would imply I got something out of it . I can assure you that wasn't the case !! In fact I lost everything I owned .

Once a business is wound up there is very little you can do about it . The assets are taken by scumbag bailiffs and that's that . I was promised that the hard disks would be returned to me by rosindales , Hense i told Steve I would send the files on . I didn't need his address I have 3 phone numbers ,for the Myrmidons. his msn and his facebook page. The disks never were sent on and of course no-one knows what happened to them . So i couldn't give anything to anyone.

The main problems were the location and the size of the rooms . It also cost us all of our 40k budget to build due to changes in the building regs . It was a pretty good attempt but , I`ll admit I made some mistakes .

I have since contacted 3 of the 4 bands that paid and didn`t get work and we are working at either re-doing the original work or recording new stuff as slowly i`ve been working hard to replace my equipment for the next studio. In fact Steve and Aaron should be coming over next weekend. The other band I will contact in due course once these are out of the way as theirs will take time to complete.

To those who miss us .....We will be back in the Spring with a new city center venue and MUCH bigger rooms ...and yes we will still be doing the free cd Wink....watch this space .
