WTF? When did mucking about on eBay become a capital offence...? I didn't used to be averse to the odd spot of shill-bidding myself. I mean, we've all done it. Very Happy

rightly so, its the same as price fixing and companies get fucked for that. If you cant sell fairly then you shouldnt sell at all.

i've never done it myself, but ebay is a financial agreement when you buy something, if someone brought in fake bidders to a real auction to hike the price, I think it'd probably get the same response.

That being said, the sentence does seem a bit harsh.

Harsh? That's lenient for fraudulently inflating prices on what is an auction site where contracts are legally binding.

It says he avoided prison because of the relatively small amounts of money involved yet he sold 2 Mercs, and a Landy! WTF?!

compared to price fixing by building contractors 25/30k isnt a large sum of money.
