Any advice? Any attempts at large uploads (anything over about 5-10MB) time out and fail.
I.e I'm trying to upload a 20+MB Flac file to my Bandcamp.com account but I keep getting time out errors. Smaller files though (such as MP3s or photos) seem to work fine.

Hmm it seems that file is under the size limit and in a format they understand. Dunno mate! All I can suggest is to try at a time of day when it's likely to be less busy, so about now-ish _________________

Yeah, assuming the files are fine it's almost certainly a connection problem.
Is there anywhere else you could try uploading them, to see if it's your end or Band Camp's? Occasionally you'll get a big site that just refuses to upload properly, due to traffic or whatever. Hell, I get it pretty much every time I try an upload anything to Facebook
Otherwise, it could be your browser cutting that particular connection just because it's being really slow.
Either way, the best thing is just to leave it for a bit and try again later - either that or try it on someone else's computer.

I've had problems trying to upload to other sites too, so I'm figuring it's something wrong at my end. Hotmail is being useless (but, admittedly, Hotmail is always useless) and I can't successfully upload anything to MoreCowbell either (which is awesome before anyone says anything!)
I've been trying Bandcamp several times a day for the past few days to no avail.

It might be worth turning your router/modem off for a few minutes and seeing if that makes any difference. I'm on Virgin here and every now and then the connection just grinds to a halt - resetting the router brings it back up to speed every time.

I THINK IT'S SORTED!
Turns out one of AVG's modules interferes with Bandcamp's uploading. Seems to be working fine now I've disabled the offending module - i.e. the upload bar is moving at a normal rate, as opposed to shooting to the end and hanging like it used to.
EDIT: Yup, that was it. All sorted now. Fucking AVG. Cheers for all the help.

I think that should probably be "fucking Bandcamp" - I've been using AVG for 5+ years (nearer 10 I think) and I've never heard of anything like that happening, even shifting huge 1Gb+ projects around. Crazy stuff!
