Slipping: very common.

Slipping into something noose-like and dying: vaguely plausible, but it happened like three days earlier to Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter (how also died, poor little thing) - and those are crazy odds statistically.

However, there are two important things mentioned in the Associated Press report:

1 - He was found with rope around his neck. I'm pretty sure he could afford something better to hold his trousers up, and I although I do have rope in my wardrobe (don't ask), it's not tied into nooses and hanging up.

2 - He had another rope tied around his genitals. Somewhere around this point the accident theory becomes somewhat unlikely.

The thing I love is that he was married and has a family - and yet the headline on the Daily Mail today was "Kill Bill star Uma Thurman mourns for co-star Carradine". Classy.
