I've decided to plumb new depths of boredom with an OS poll to assess the takeup of Vista among Darksiders. Anyway, there hasn't been a poll for ages, even if this is a very dull one. Meh.

To be honest, XP is the most stable OS I've ever used (apart from w2k). Even the likes of Ubuntu have done well, but not been perfect. Don't get me wrong, XP isn't perfect, but it Just Works™

If Apple released OS X to the PC I'd change in an instant (don't tell me, Hackintosh lets me, right? I can't get a single release to work with my AMD hardware)

Strange, it used to work fine on my old setup.

Still, I'm with you on the XP front - never have any problems with it, it's perfeclty stable.

I tried Vista. I'm sure it's great for the market it's aimed at (as a 'Media Center' type thing'), but I prefer to use my processor cycles on running my own programs and not the OS. It was just too damn hungry for my liking - not to mention really buggy (though I understand that's been much improved with updates now).

I run both the 32 and 64-bit versions of XP, and they both work fine.
