It always pisses me off that so many people on the web refer to themself as 'graphic designers', just because they've got themselves a pirated copy of Photoshop, some free fonts and have read a few web tutorials. The majority of them have no formal training, are shit rip-off merchants and give people like myself a bad name. I went to art college, for God's sake! Don't they know WHO I AM?!
However it works the other way, too: when friends or acquaintances need anything graphical doing (logo, wedding invite, CD cover etc) they ask you to help but assume they can get it out of you for free, even if it takes you a week. A couple of years ago I did a logo for a band in Derby (who had "no money", what a surprise) which took me a good two weeks to create with a few revisions. When I asked for a measly £25, the band reacted like I'd raped all of their mothers and firebombed their houses...
I guess the 'good' thing about the net is that you can soon ruin a shitty designer by sending out a quick bulletin on myspack or fakebook telling people about the crap they put you through _________________

This kid is obviously a thicko, we're top of alot of the unsigned myspace charts, you think he'd want it to be a good advert for what he does, obviously not though, we're actually going to destroy his reputation.
I cant belive that our ep cover has been leaked on the internet already.
Me and Bronwyn do look good together though. you'll also notice my new signature guitar.
The band name has officially been changed now, its "Tim Crane and The First" obviously because i'm the frontman and the most important and talented member!
