Hi thanks for the interest in TAKING PART IN THE SHOWCASE night
Sorry to be formal but we find this is the best way for it to run smoothly. This is how it works on the night we have 3 bands taking part. Each band does a 30 minute slot 9:00-930, 9:45-10:15 and then 10:30-11.
There is a top quality PA supplied (and microphones) and you must use the supplied /drum kit. This enables us to put on 3 bands! You will need to bring guitars/basses and amps.
The Showcases happens once a month at the wrestlers in great Yarmouth on a Friday night 9:00-11:00
During the night once the first band finishes they take their gear off stage or moves it to one side. Remember we only have 15mins to change so this needs to be as fast as possible. Then when the 2nd band finishes they take their gear off stage or moves it one side. It should work it has in the past. Please remember we are trying to promote music you have finished please stay and support the other bands!!!
- Your drummer only needs his own sticks and if they like double pedal - The rest of the band need all their gear (except pa) - Your band has a 30 minutes slot included in this your encore song!!! It would not be fair if you take other bands time.
The next step
Let us know if you would like to take part in show case. Send us information about the band. Band members names. Type of music, demos, websites this can be emailed to Phil (philmguitar@hotmail.com) we may also need a photo for the newspaper. We are looking for good bands to take part so you may need to audition. This is best done by coming to the jam night at the Wrestlers on a Tues night at 8:30-10:30 and you can play a track or two.
Please let us know how many microphones you need. Also any special requirements such as the drummer sings or you have a keyboards etc
