Real tone comes from a 2x12, the 4x12 is a truely ghastly invention.

i have an ibanez and its pretty much tone heaven for me.

...although i spose the set neck and active EMGS help that.

I also hate EMGs, i've given them lots of chances but i think they sound sterile and lifeless. The seymour blackouts kill the emgs in every way!

For me it'll always be dimarzio and wilkinson, i like to hear my guitar not the sound of a battery!
