erh basically I have an BT home hub with only two ether slots and I need another two. Sadly wireless doesn't work so well in my house. I rang BT, all they have to say is "find yourself a new internet provider.''. Yeah real helpful.

So any help or info would be awesome.

Cheers Smile

BT are very unhelpful. I recently switched to the Post Office and the Internet box only has one ethernet socket, but you can just plug it into a network switch to wire up more. Should be able to get something for a tenner on Ebay. I use one of these and it seems fine - previously worked OK with a Home Hub.

Yeah, you'll be fine with any network hub/switch - available from nearly all PC shops in town or online. Try Anglian Internet if you want a shop to visit

Can't vouch for how usable it is, but you can't beat a 5-port switch for a fiver new:

I bought one like this to add more ports downstairs and get a bit of wireless available too:

You should only have to plug the switch into one of your existing BT hub ports and voila (the switch may have a dedicated uplink port that you'll have to use, but it should be pretty obvious)

Aye, there's plenty of cheap options out there if all you need is extra ports. Shame this didn't come up a week ago, I just sold one for peanuts - a BT one oddly enough...
