hi all,
following on from my ipod discussion i am trying to think of ways to connect it to my stereo without removing my cd changer.
i was wondering if there was any way to convert an rca cable so that the other end can go into the car aerial input? i.e: i want the rca cables for something like an ipod but i want it to be able to plug into the aerial socket in my car due to the rather distinct lack of inputs on the back of my car head unit. i know there are issues with the way that the singal is transmitted compared to audio down a cable but i was thinking there might be something that works like an mp3 transmitter without transmitting, so just converting.
i tried using a transmitter for an ipod in my car but it gave a poor response to the mid range (the bass and treble were perfect but the mid was a bit crackly). the only other option would be to rewire the aerial cable so that it is set behind the head unit an picks up the transmitter signal better (the current aerial is at the back of my car).
does anyone have any idea on how to do this without having to change the head unit?
cheers me dears,
