I wasn't impressed when I went there. Poncy and over-priced. Poor service. Food is better in other Indians in the City (such as Bengal Spice and Ali Tandoori).

Oh that's mixed reviews I have heard about this place then. I've never been to an Indian restaurant before so can't compare the food to anywere else. I am hoping it's going to be really nice as we are going for my brothers birthday.

That's weird - I love it in there. I think the guys are pretty friendly, service has always been good, food is probably the best curry I've had in Norwich and I thought it was very reasonable Very Happy

Bengal Spice is shit - you have to wait for ages to get a table, and the staff really don't want to be there.

Ali is my second choice - we head down there if we can't get into Spice Lounge.

I have to admit I haven't been in the Bengal Spice for a couple of years so can't defend it.

I love the Ali.

I have only been to the Spice Lounge once and was really looking forward to it but I found the staff really REALLY rude. They also kept trying to speed us up and rush us. Two of my friends sent their main dish back as it was cold. It could be a one off but I don't plan to rush back there. It was empty in ther so they can't even use the excuses that they were busy or needed the tables.

I have heard good reviews of the Spice Longue, the best curry I have tasted was in a little place in Fort William, as that isn't the most practical to go to, the one in Aylsham is pretty good, the best I have had around here, although the service was shite.

Best curry had to be the prawn curry I had on the beach when I was working in Chennai :p

Best curries I've had in Norwich have come from the Passage To India. Thanks to Errol for introducing me to that place on the Insaniac piss up!
