Following a break from promotions, and after an impressive trio of concerts (Bombay Bicycle Club, Ugly Duckling, Wild Beasts), In An Emergency Dial return.
More-pop-than-punk three piece, DARWIN & THE DINOSAUR will headline the night, which boasts an effort for each band to push themselves, try something new and bring a new dimension to their set - something special... for one night only!
Current frontrunners in their genre, Alan, Alex & Joe have been expanding their fanbase through regular out-of-town performances, making it through to the finals of the Next Big Thing Competition and have also had interest from overseas labels. Their debut album, "English For The Hearing Impaired" has had regular sales, and the band are due to enter the studio soon, for the follow up which looks set to better the aforementioned.
Despite their postcode not tying up with that of Nelsons county, SCIENCE VS ROMANCE have become a local favourite in their own right, after three successful shows in the region, each time charming new fans as well as delighting their loyal ones with their energetic, professional display.
Already with an impressive Musical CV, they have toured the UK twice with Far (USA) + Attack In Black (Canada), and Circa Survive (USA) + Twin Atlantic. They have been featured, and reviewed highly by the likes of Rocksound & Big Cheese Magazine, as well as a string of "thumbs-up" reviews online, and one-off support slots to big names back home in the Midlands. Two popular album releases, affection from Kerrang (Radio) and a Music Video played on the BBC in the UK. Not bad, huh?
For SvR, it is but a matter of time until they are picked up by a label, and sent jetting around the world on tour, and with a new album in the pipeline - that time could be just around the corner.
Much-admired FOUR DAYS IN MAY burst onto the scene in the haze of the Summer sun, 2009. The long-standing friends perfectly filled the alternative rock gap in our fine city, somewhere between the fractured, mournful sound of Smashing Pumpkins, and the sanguine joy of Wave Machines (a favourite of the band).
Their debut offering "..For The Lights" cemented their stay on the circuit, and after a residence at the Rumsey Wells in Norwich (with weekly crowds), the band took a step back from the stage, and into the studio, determined to further their sound, and experiment with its potential. February 19th will be the return of FDIM, and a chance to see the fruits of their labour.
Pop quartet FIORENTINA have patiently taken their time to write, record, and fine-tune their honest pop songs, producing a series of sometimes haunting tales of lost love and failed relationships, with an apparent optimism for the future; relatable by all. Their songs feature numerous catchy sing-a-long lines, urging the audience to lend their voice in participation.
After completing a notable debut in the form of "Traditions" and once posting two tracks online, the newly-turned-quartet (which started as a duo) have been growing in popularity, multiplying a fanbase rapidly, and being offered gigs across the UK - this, however, will be the first glimpse Norwich will get.
