Live Wire Official Opening by Lord Mayor of Norwich

Live Wire Rehearsal Recording ltd have the pleasure of announcing that The Lord Mayor of Norwich Will be officially opening our studios on the 19th November.

There will be FREE food and FREE alcoholic drinks for everyone (drinks to over 18s only of course)

Come and try the rooms free of charge just bring your instruments . This will be subject to availability and will be done on a first come first served basis and sessions times will be discussed on the day dependant on demand.

Live entertainment in the reception area and full setup for "jamming" will be supplied also.

kick off 1pm, Lord Mayor 2pm , party on til midnight .

Sale 11th October @ Plug Studios

For those who like second hand shops, jumble sales and the like, we are having a clear out of some of the items which were previously at our old studios (some have never even seen the light of day)

If you want to pick up a bargain, come along to our new site at Unit 6, Kingsway, Off Barker Street, Norwich NR2 4UE on Saturday 11th October between 12 noon and 4pm.

You can view the items and make an offer, and hopefully come away with some goodies.

A selection of things that we have are:-

Drum shells (no hardware)
Speaker cabs (some empty, awaiting speakers, some full)
Guitar heads
Mic Stands
Monitors (tatty but working OK)
An assortment of spares
etc etc

You can find us on the industrial estate at the bottom of Grapes Hill (go over the roundabout near Halfords, and we are the third road on the left, directly opposite MFI furniture shop).

Server migration
The Darkside has been moved to a new server to try and help alleviate some of the issues we were having with the database on the old server.

Let us know on the forums if you spot anything that isn't working as it should!

Music Theory course at Access To Music
From January there will be a new course running at Access To Music Norwich in King Street for people who want to improve their Music Theory knowledge. This course is open to the general public as well as current students.

The sort of things we will be looking at are:
Reading stave music
Developing listening skills including intervals, notes, chords, rhythm
Developing knowledge of harmony, chord progressions and rhythm
Understanding how to relate what you hear to what you write
Using Notation Software

Everybody is welcome, and you don't necessarily have to have any previous knowledge of music theory.
